Mental Wellness
In the realm of mental health, Dr. Belcea utilizes ketamine infusions to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Ketamine, originally an anesthetic, has been found to have rapid-acting antidepressant properties, making it a valuable option for patients who have not responded to traditional treatments. Dr. Belcea’s practice, Wakefield Family Medicine, provides these infusions in a controlled and supportive environment, ensuring patients receive comprehensive care. Additionally, his certifications in ketamine-assisted therapy, and psilocybin-assisted therapy, allows him to offer cutting-edge treatments that harness the therapeutic potential of ketamine and psilocybin for mental health.

Physical Wellness
For physical health and longevity, Dr. Belcea champions the use of metformin and ProLon®, the only patented fasting mimicking diet. ProLon®, designed to mimic the effects of fasting while allowing some food intake, helps in reducing inflammation, improving metabolic health, and promoting cellular regeneration. Metformin, a medication traditionally used to treat diabetes, is prescribed by Dr. Belcea for its potential benefits in delaying aging and preventing age-related diseases. He began taking metformin himself in 2005 and, by 2015, started prescribing it to his patients, monitoring their health outcomes to substantiate its preventive benefits.
